Baboons are aggressive primates that are extremely territorial, and attack in groups. They will follow and harass intruders.

Baboons are monkey-like creatures, roughly 4′ tall and 100 lb. They have reddish to brown fur, with intelligent eyes and vicious claws.

Baboons are extremely aggressive, and will protect their territory fiercely. The live primarily on the ground, but will climb in trees to gather food and attack prey.

They are known to follow intruders, harassing them with stones and offal. When they have the advantage, they will attack in groups, led by an alpha male. The alpha male typically has 1-2 more ST and is larger and more fierce than the other baboons.

They will follow and harass any intruders or prey, attacking when they feel they have the prey at a disadvantage. Baboons will attack with the teeth and claws, doing 1d6 damage.

The Isle of Ealdun

Baboons are only found off the coast of Southmoor, in the islands south of Ealdun. Rumors of them are found throughout the southern lands, though, brought by sailors who have visited those islands and been lucky enough to return.

The Middle Lands

Baboons are well known to be found in the southern lands of Amrakh, along the Zarokhundi River and further south in the Great Jungles beyond those realms. In the northern lands of Urre and Tianshang, baboons are unheard of, except in legends.

The Vales

Baboons are not found in the Vales.

The Shaman’s Valley

Baboons are not found in the Valley.
