The cobra is a medium-sized snake found in warm climates. It can spit its venom when attacking, as well as biting.

Habitat: Desert, Barrens, Jungle.

Special: Poison. A cobra’s bite is poisonous, requiring a victim to pass a 3/ST test or suffer 1d6 of poison damage. The victim suffers an additional 1d6 damage per day until an antidote is given or magically healed. No AR protection. The poison can cause blindness if it gets in the eyes, and is not treated.

The cobra can also spit its venom at an enemy, up to 5′ away. Any creature struck by this venom must pass a 4/ST test or be blinded.

Like all snakes, cobras have a +1 die DRM on all attempts to Detect or Listen for them.

Cobras range from 3-7′ long, with various multicolored bands on their scaly skin.

These deadly snakes will usually attack to defend themselves, by either biting or spitting their venom. They will then flee.

The Isle of Ealdun

Cobras are not found in the Isle, but creatures like them are rumored to be found in the islands of the coast of Southmoor.

The Middle Lands

Cobras can only be found in the southern areas of Kavast, in the deserts and badlands of Amrakh and beyond. There they are feared for their deadly poison and deadly quickness.

The Vales

Cobras are not found in the Vales.

The Shaman’s Valley

Cobras are not found in the Valley.
